Changing Labels

Access to labels is available from the Labels command option in Shipping Options, Purchasing Options, Inventory Options, and Print Labels.

Access the Labels function via one of the following system options below and then proceed to Step #4.

Accessing the Labels command option in Shipping Options

1. Access the Labels function by selecting the Labels command option in Shipping Options to add Shipping label templates. The types of shipping labels available include:

• Pick tickets
• Item Info tags
• Cartons
• Orders
• Manifests
• Next day labels.

 

2. A Select a Label Type window appears, displaying the different types of Shipping labels. Select the type of label by scrolling to the label type and pressing Enter.

3. Proceed to Step #4 (below).

Accessing the Labels command option in Purchasing Options and Inventory Options

1. Access the Labels function by selecting the Labels command option in Purchasing Options or Inventory Options to add inventory labels.

2. A Select An Inventory Label Template window will appear. Select the type of label by scrolling to the label type and pressing Enter.

3. Proceed to Step #4 (below).

Accessing the Labels function from Print Label

1. Select Print Labels from the User menu to add free-form labels.

2. A Select A Label Template to Print window will appear with the following options:

• Exit – Select Exit to exit the Print Label option and return to the User menu.
• LABEL TEMPLATES – Select LABEL TEMPLATES to create or modify a label.
• A list of labels – Select a label to print.

 

Select LABEL TEMPLATES.

3. Proceed to Step #4 (below).

4. Command options will appear:

• Change – Select Change to change the label template.
• Template Designer – Select Template Designer to return to the template designed in order to make changes to the label design.
• Update – Select to Update to save the label or changes to the label.
• Void – Select Void to void or delete the selected label. Labels cannot be deleted if they are being used as a shipping or inventory label default in Shipping Options, Inventory Options, Customer, or Item. The following message will appear: "Do you really wish to void this template format? No/Yes?"
  • Select yes to void the template.
  • Select no to return to the command options.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit from the label template without saving the changes. The following message will appear: “Are you sure you wish to exit without updating !!! No/Yes."
  • Select no to return to the command options.
  • Select yes to exit without updating.

Select the appropriate command option and make the necessary changes.

• If changes have been made to the label template, use the Enter, Tab, Page Down, or arrow keys to move through fields. The above command options will reappear. Select Update to save the changes that have been made to the label template.
• If changes have been made to the label design and are complete, click on the Save button. A Windows message box appears with the following message, "Do you want to save your work?"
• Select yes to save the label design and return to the label template command line
• Select no to abandon the label design or label design changes and return to the Select A Label Template window .
• Select cancel to return to the label designer
